The Tananarive East Coast railway line TCE status report in 2021
The TCE line, Train Cote Est, has existed since 1913. Its construction was long and steeped in history. It was the train that transported the goods to the capital. And especially the great escape of Tananarivians to the seaside resort of Ambilalemaintsoa and Vatomandry.
This line crosses :
- 2 provinces: Toamasina and Antananarivo.
- 3 Regions: Atsinanana Region, Alaotra Mangoro Region and Analamanga.
- 7 Districts: Antananarivo Renivohitra et Avarandrano, Manjakandriana, Moramanga, Brickaville, Toamasina 1 et Toamasina 2.
- And the TCE passes more than twenty rural and urban municipalities throughout its course.
